BFI London Film Festival 2025 – Celebrating Global Cinema in the Heart of London (8–19 Oct)

The 69th BFI London Film Festival returns this autumn, bringing an extraordinary collection of films to cinemas across the UK. From 8 to 19 October 2025, this festival will showcase work from emerging voices and established creators alike.

A Diverse Line-Up from Around the World

This year’s programme presents 247 features, shorts, series and immersive works from 79 countries, offering premieres that will turn heads and spark conversations. Opening night features Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery by Rian Johnson, and the festival will close with 100 Nights of Hero. Strands such as Love, Debate, Laugh, Dare, Thrill, Cult, Journey, Create, Experimenta, Family, and Shorts invite attendees to explore different moods, styles, and storytelling forms.

Venues & Where to Catch the Action

Screenings will take place in iconic locations like BFI Southbank and the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre. Other London cinemas such as Curzon Mayfair, Curzon Soho, ICA, Prince Charles Cinema and Vue West End will also host films. There will be partner venues outside London too, making the festival accessible to a wider audience across the UK.

Immersive & Industry Highlights

The LFF Expanded strand continues to push boundaries with immersive art, VR, XR and novel interactive works. For industry professionals and press, the Industry Forum offers panels, networking, and showcases of works-in-progress including innovation in storytelling technologies.

Tickets & Access
